Frans Hällqvist is a photographer and artist based in Malmö and Stockholm in Sweden. Frans has had several solo exhibitions and been part of various group exhibitions, both in Sweden and abroad. He has attended the master education in Photography at the University of Photography in Gothenburg. In addition to his artistic career, Frans has worked on assignments for various clients, both national and international. From 2019, he has his studio at Ateljéföreningen Addo in Malmö.

Frans uses photography, moving images and objects/installations as his tool for expression. He often uses documentary imagery to give a sense of authenticity which he combines with observations of objects/situations, or experiments, made in the studio, or similar "investigative" environments. His interest in psychological boundaries in interpersonal relationships and the ambivalence within ourselves and the individual in a group is a theme he often returns to in his work.
